Amazon has introduced two Bee-branded personal AI devices that listen to conversations, transcribe them and produce summaries, action items and reminders. The Bee Frontier is a silicone wristband that can clip to clothing and is priced at $74.99, while the Bee Eclipse is a credit card-sized device that attaches to a phone and is priced at $99.99.

## What happened

Amazon's announcement says the Bee devices convert meetings and everyday conversations into conversation summaries, to-dos, reminders and insights. The company says Bee can gather context from conversations and connected apps to surface action items, draft follow-up emails or create calendar invites after calls or meetings.

## How it works

According to Amazon, the devices use built-in microphones to transcribe meetings and conversations and make those transcriptions available in the Bee app and desktop. The announcement lists integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, and it says Bee can be linked to Alexa+ and Amazon.com to help draft follow-ups or create calendar invites.

Amazon describes a tiered model for access: basic conversation summaries and 14 days of memory are available for free, while more advanced features require a Bee Pro subscription that costs $11.99 per month, the announcement states.

## Privacy and encryption

Amazon's product page highlights privacy as a design focus. The announcement describes a system called Bee Private Compute and states, quote, "no one, including Amazon, can access your data." It says audio is not stored, that audio is processed into insights in real time and deleted after processing, and that transcripts are encrypted using keys that only the users device creates and controls. The company also says data is accessible only if the user chooses to share it.

## Reporting on Bee's ownership

Secondary reporting has linked Bee to Amazon's wider device strategy. TechCrunch reported that Amazon acquired Bee last year.

### Webzenith News analysis

The Bee devices bundle always-on audio capture, transcription and app integrations into compact wearables and a phone accessory, offering convenience for users who want automated meeting notes and follow-up drafts. At the same time, Amazon's announcement provides high-level privacy claims without detailed technical documentation or independent audits in the same material, leaving open questions a reader may want answered before trusting sensitive or confidential conversations to the system.

The product offering positions Amazon and Bee among several companies bringing consumer-facing AI assistants into everyday devices, with built-in integrations aimed at turning conversations into actionable items.

Availability details, regional rollout information and deeper technical specifications were not provided in the announcement material that is summarized here.

End of report.
